Trains, coaches ready for carrying passengers during Tet

There are a certain number of tickets for air-conditioned bed seats. 6,000 coach tickets have been sold. All are ready for carrying passengers during Tet.
On January 29, the southern coach station has put into operation 50 coaches with high-class beds on the Ho Chi Minh-Hanoi route. The coaches are built domestically with engine and devices produced in Germany, the US and Japan.
Mr. Vu Van Tuyen, director of the Hoang Long Transportation Company, said that the coaches had been equipped like mobile hotels.
“These high-class coaches operate continuously from 5 a.m to 11 p.m,” he added.
An official of the Ho Chi Minh transportation department said the southern coach station had sold out over 5,000 additional tickets.
Cho Lon and western coach stations have also sold 2,000 tickets.
The official said the number of passengers during this Tet would increase by 10%, with an expected number of 910,000.
38,000 coaches are needed. The department has mobilized 641 coaches to carry all passengers at the stations. “We will not make passengers wait overnight at coach stations,” said the official.
Mr. Ho Nghia Dung, Transportation Minister said he had asked provincial transportation departments to actively participate in the serving of carrying passengers.
Mr. Vu Ta Tung, director of the Sai Gon railway company, said the selling of rail tickets had been completed.
The number of sold tickets is 54,900.
