    18:17 | 29/02/2012

The central city of Danang has set up a hotline to help local expats who have passports and personal property lost or stolen.

This follows a spate of fraud and theft in the city.

Victims can call the city police department at (0511) 3860247 to report problems to English-speaking staff on the line which is open around-the-clock.

The private numbers of local officers in foreign affairs and immigration sectors are also given in emergency cases./.
