(CPV) - Sharing the happiness with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union members across the country, overseas Vietnamese students organized various activities to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

On March 26, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at the National University of Laos (NUOL) in Vientiane organized an art performance to celebrate the founding of the union.
On behalf of 420 Vietnamese students in Laos, Pham Huu Phuong, secretary of the union, looked back on the glorious tradition of Vietnamese youth during the past 81 years, and the close relations between young people of the two countries in the fighting to save and build their countries.
At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Ta Minh Chau also congratulated the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, praised the study and life of overseas Vietnamese students, and stressed the special status of the Vietnam-Laos relationship, established by late President Ho Chi Minh and President Kayson Phomvihan, and enhanced by following leaders and the peoples of the two countries; therefore, the young generation need to preserve and develop it.
The Ambassador advised students to make further efforts in studying and to show solidarity with international friends and strictly follow the regulations of the university so Vietnam’s image remains always beautiful in the eyes of international friends.
On this occasion, overseas Vietnamese students in Japan organized a photo beauty queen contest to choose Vietnamese girls who take the best photographs in Japan. The girls posing in traditional long dresses or in Japanese kimonos were outstanding photos attracting a lot attention.
On March 24 in Moscow, outstanding faces and original performances were found in the final night of the contest “Moscow student – 2012” organized by the overseas Vietnamese students association. On March 25, hundreds of young students from ten universities in Moscow met to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
In Irkutsk, about 200 Vietnamese students also met on March 25 to sing together songs praising the Youth Union and youth. During the meeting a program was launched to collect warm clothes to support the blind in difficulty in this city.
To celebrate the 81st anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vietnamese students in Germany were eager to join a logo design contest for the Vietnamese Student Association there. Many logos attracted the attention and comments of overseas Vietnamese in Germany. This was also an activity to prepare for the official establishment of the Vietnamese Student Association in German in the coming time./.
