U22 team to train in Europe for Asian champs
    22:10 | 03/04/2012

Vietnam’s U22 team will attend a training session in Europe in June to prepare for the 2013 Asian U22 Football Championships qualifiers, according to coach Mai Duc Chung.

The team, to be summoned in mid-April, will enjoy intensive two weeks of practice with the MSK Zilina Football Club in Slovakia.

Chung said the club offered comfortable and suitable conditions for the 30-member team where they would have the opportunity to train with qualified overseas Vietnamese players.

After the training, Chung and his team will fly to Myanmar for the Championship, due to take place from June 23 to July 3. Vietnam is in group G with the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Chinese Taipei and the Philippines.

Vietnam currently ranks sixth in Southeast Asia./.
