Me Linh district People’s Committee in Hanoi has coordinated with the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) to inaugurate and hand over 14 schools funded by VietinBank with a total investment of 39 billion VND.

Vice director and head of Trade Union of Vietnam Nguyen Van Du expressed his pleasure upon witnessing the happiness of teachers and students in welcoming their new schools. He hoped that schools and localities will be well managed and maintained to serve the study needs of generations in these localities.

In 2011 and 2012, VietinBank raised 115 billion VND to support localities in Me Linh district in order to ensure social security.

In 2012, VietinBank has been implementing support for social security in the locality with total capital of 50 billion VND to build 14 primary schools, secondary schools and preschools in communes, and restore the Hai Ba Trung temple./.
