41 students from secondary schools and high schools in Ho Chi Minh City participated in the opening ceremony of the army course “Vietnamese youth – Vietnam’s sea and islands” in the Youth Cultural House on June 10.

From June 10-19, they will attend training courses in Brigade 957 – Cam Ranh, including: marching drills, practicing the lifestyle of a soldier of the Vietnamese People’s Army, practicing living skills of creative thinking, self-confidence and skills to work in groups.

On the same day, a ship carrying members attending the course “Youth for the nation’s sea and island” 2012 landed Cat Lai port in District 2, completing the trip to visit soldiers and people working and living on the Truong Sa Archipelago and DK1 frame house.

From June 10-15, 150 people with excellent achievements in Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization will participate in a camping festival “Vong Tay bien gioi” 2012 held by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City. The camping festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang and Kien Giang provinces.

On June 10, the mobile communication contest “border and Vietnam’s sea and islands” 2012 in the southwest region closed after touring the five districts of Vung Liem, Tam Binh, Tra On, Binh Tan and Long Ho of Vinh Long province.

The contest had a participation of over 500 communicators, actors and actresses from 14 provinces and cities across the country. The organizing board presented 14 gold medals, 28 silver medals and 14 certificates of merit to units./.
