The debut ceremony of the poem collection “Diary in prison” of President Ho Chi Minh first translated into Bangladeshi was held in the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Bangladeshi Communist Party in Dhaka capital.
“Diary in prison” in the Bangladeshi language is published by Jatio Sahitto Prokashoni Publisher, on the occasion of the 122nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

baodongnai.com.vnSpeaking at the ceremony, President of the Bangladeshi Communist Party Manzurul Ahsan Khan and translators remarked on the period he left Vietnam to find a way to save the country, draft the biography and cause of President Ho Chi Minh, a patriot and a great leader of the Vietnamese people; The patriotic spirit and lofty sacrifice, great dedication, steadfast revolutionary will and clear-sighted leadership of President Ho Chi Minh was highly praised for the cause and struggle of the liberation of Vietnamese people.
Vietnamese ambassador to Bangladesh, Nguyen Van That, thanked the Bangladeshi Communist Party and translators for the precious sentiments of the Bangladeshi people for President Ho Chi Minh. He also surely believed that the works of “Diary in prison” and “Biography and cause of President Ho Chi Minh” in the Bangladeshi language will hold the audience, especially the younger generation of Bangladeshis, helping to further understand President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and boost the solidarity, friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
The Ambassador praised the efforts of translators and considered it as a very significant activity to celebrate the 122nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and 40th anniversary of diplomatic relationship of the two countries.
Translator Ovinu Bibria Islam, a young intellectual born in 1986, is a lecturer of Jessore Polytechnic Institute, Bangladesh. Despite having never visited Vietnam, but holding respect and admiration for President Ho Chi Minh, he decided to translate “Diary in prison” to introduce to the younger generation Bangladeshis.
Previously, in February “Biography and the cause of President Ho Chi Minh” compiled by writer Moshin Shastrapani, published in 1972 has its fifth reprint by Tarafdar Prokashoni publisher in Bangladesh./.
