Thanh Hoa province Red Cross has actively worked with enterprises and medical foundations in the province to give free medical checks-up and medicine to 2,400 elderly and disabled people and also victims of Agent Orange.
The medicine provided is valued at VND 763 million.
The treatments are intended to help with the prevention of infectious diseases typical in summer and generally help maintain people’s health.
According to the Vietnam Red Cross, July–the action month for AO victims and the month to mark the 65th anniversary of the day for wounded soldiers and martyrs, will continue free medical treatment in remote communes of 11 mountainous districts. The Red Cross medical provision has supplemented recent support provided in the building of houses of gratitude, the giving of presents to martyrs’ and wounded soldiers’ families and AO victims./.
