(CPV) - The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) on June 27 officially launched a new direct flight between Hanoi (Vietnam) and Chengdu (China).
The national airline operates three flights per week in both directions with aircraft Fokker 70. The plane departs at 12.10 am from Hanoi and at 4.15 pm (local time) from Chengdu on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight duration is about two hours.

”Launching the Hanoi – Chengdu route will contribute to boosting economic, cultural, tourism and education exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Southwest China. Passengers of VNA will have chance to discover Chengdu, a famous destination with many world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO such as Jiu Zhai Gou, Er Mei Shan, Le Shan Da Fo. The new route will positively support completing the network of VNA and contribute to developing Hanoi into an aviation gateway in the region,” said Mr Trinh Hong Quang, Deputy General Director of VNA.
This is the 6th direct route of VNA to China, increasing the total of weekly flights between the two countries of VNA to 36.
Chengdu is the 27th destination of VNA’s international network./.
