Canon Vietnam kicks off “Canon friendship school chain 2012” project
    10:48 | 01/07/2012

(CPV) – In Hanoi, on June 30, Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd (CVN) signed a construction agreement of "Canon friendship school chain 2012” project with 4 districts - Chiem Hoa (Tuyen Quang province), Lac Son (Hoa Binh province), Tan Ky (Nghe An province), and Huong Khe (Ha Tinh province).

The project has been implemented since 2007, aiming to provide children - the country’s next generation with better learning and living conditions. In recent years, Canon has collaborated with many projects financed by the Government and other organizations in eliminating temporary classrooms made of bamboo and replacing them with more spacious, permanent and standard classrooms for mountainous areas.

This year’s kindergartens and primary schools are in downgraded conditions, with overcrowded classrooms and lack of toys and necessary equipments. Pupils from a kindergarten in Huong Thuy commune (Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province) are now using boat to go to school, facing dangerous situations. With new classrooms, parents are assured that their children can play and study in new spacious and beautiful places; enjoy delicious meals and take full nap at school every day.
