Thanh Hoa province spends 1.5 billion VND to help AO victims
    20:06 | 20/07/2012

Since the beginning of the year to early July, the central province of Thanh Hoa mobilized over 1.5 billion VND to help Agent Orange victims, the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) reported.

According to the VRC, the money has been used to build 18 charity houses, and given loans without interest rate so that AO victims can develop their production and escape poverty.

The provincial association of AO victims worked with the provincial labour, wounded soldier and social affairs sector, to bring 30 disadvantaged AO victims to the provincial sanatorium to help them have better healthcare and living quality.

In August, the provincial association of AO victims will continue to increase activities to raise the victims’ spiritual and material lives to practically mark the 51st anniversary of the AO catastrophe in Vietnam (August 10)./.
