President chairs 6th Judicial Reform Committee session
    06:48 | 11/08/2012

State President Truong Tan Sang chaired the sixth session of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform in Hanoi on August 10, focusing on projects to improve working conditions and develop human resources for the judiciary and procuracy.

According to the Committee, the projects have met the requirements for judicial reform in a number of important areas such as finance, land use, planning and investment, and information technology.

However, the projects should be compiled carefully before they are submitted to the relevant agencies to ensure they are suitable for the country’s socio-economic situation and will lay a foundation for revamping the legal and judicial systems.

The projects propose important solutions to create better facilities for investigations and judicial activities. They also recommend new mechanisms and policies to improve staff capacity, which will contribute to the process of judicial reform.

President Sang also asked the Committee and representatives of relevant ministries and sectors to give their opinions on issues related to improving infrastructure and training personnel for the legal and procuracy sectors./.
