    US foundation builds internet library in Dak Nong

    An internet library was opened in the Central Highland province of Dak Nong on August 10, under the sponsorship of the US Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

    The library, equipped with 40 computers, a printer, a camera and other facilities, will provide local people with access to the internet and allow them to search for information online.

    The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation project has provided 280 computers, 42 printers, 42 cameras and other devices to equip the province's 18 public libraries and 24 communal post offices.

    The US$50 million project, aimed at improving computer use and internet access in Vietnam is being implemented in 400 public libraries and 1,500 communal post offices in 40 disadvantaged provinces across the country./.
