(CPV) - Following its success in 2011, the Global Leadership Activating Day (GLAD) 2012 is expected to take place on September 1 at the Vietnam National Conference Centre.

GLAD 2012 is one of the events under the chain of projects “global business culture” launched by AIESEC in Hanoi Foreign Trade University in order to help students to develop their leadership skills and deep awareness of the global business environment, as well as social enterprises nowadays.

With the theme “Young leaders: Social responsibility and businessmen’s spirit”, GLAD 2012 will help participants to have a general view about social businesses and the role of young leaders. The students not only acquire experience imparted by social entrepreneurs and social businesses, but also have the chance to practice to directly lead a project or social program.

GLAD 2012 helps improve students’ awareness of social business models and the role of young leaders in resolving social issues with business solutions. A business can’t develop by itself, it needs the assistance of society; so the business also needs to define its responsibility and duty for society and toward long-term sustainable development. Through the idea, GLAD 2012 orients the young leaders and students about their self responsibility for economic and social development.

AIESEC in Hanoi Foreign Trade University was established in September 2010 and has carried out many projects successfully, which include the projects “Living with HIV”, “Global citizen” and “Global business culture”. Through these projects, students and young people have the chance to complete their knowledge and skills in life and help them to improve their responsibility for themselves and society./.
