(CPV) – Hanoi’s export turnover reached more than USD874 million in August, a decrease of 0.8 percent from the previous month but an increase of 1.3 percent compared to the same month last year, reported the city’s statistics office.
In this month, import turnover reached an estimated USD2.07 billion, up 8.9 percent from July and down 1.6 percent compared to July last year.
With these figure, in August, Hanoi’s trade gap reached more than USD1.2 billion.
In the first eight months this year, export turnover posted USD6.65 billion, a year-on-year rise of 4.3 percent, while import turnover was estimated at USD15.4 billion, a year-on-year reduction of 6.2 percent./.
